Our Story
Welcome To Ajenjo
Ajenjo serves French-Mexican fusion cuisine, with Asian twists, in a Baja chic and elegant, yet rustic ambiance. Ajenjo features world class cuisine by chef/owner Roberto Valle Hernández, including his world famous Lobster Burrito, select cuts of Sonoran prime beef, local water fresh fish and seafood, locally grown produce and dairy—all from farm to table. We serve lunch, dinner, and feature daily chef’s specials. Ajenjo also offers a variety of gourmet tacos, such as grilled arrachera, beef tongue, lamb shank stew, octopus, shrimp and more. Ajenjo’s bar is the place to go for the best martinis, margaritas and specialty cocktails.
Roberto Valle, the owner/chef, has his diploma from the Cordon Bleu Cooking School in Paris on display. He has worked to beautifully design the restaurant to have the ambiance required of a French restaurant. Roberto’s longtime restaurant in San José del Cabo, Voila Bistro, was destroyed in 2014 by Hurricane Odile. It was frequently filled by the rich and famous such as George Clooney and Cindy Crawford.
